		This next step uses an "accelerated" workshop to interpretation of the business strategy and translate it into information. The following questions need to be answered: What might the organisation do within the current operating environment or by moving into a new environment? What does the organisation want to do given the corporate values and mission? What must it do to maintain its position given the developing influence of pressure groups? What can it do given the current level of resources and capabilities? The possible role, and more importantly, the desired role, that IT is to play in answering each of these questions will be made clear at this stage.
		The use of accelerated workshop techiques gives the following benefits: consensus discussions include everybody present, there is no need to convince others later commitment because participants have been party to any decisions there is usually good commitment to the results. synergy the workshop approach draws on the experiences of all present, raises energy and ensure synergy.
